Well, duh.Salon.com Technology | Not-so-clean cars Driving a hydrogen-powered car juiced with fuel generated by electrolysis could actually be worse for the ozone layer than sticking with gasoline. If the government really wanted to be more responsible about the environment, they'd offer tax breaks on hybrid cars now. The technology in hybrids will lead to electric cars ultimately solar-powered. But that might actually be doing something for the environment.
